Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Sittally for use of the Sittally iPhone app and this website. If you do not agree, do not use the app or the site. These Terms are not legal advice.

The service

Sittally is an iPhone app that helps sitters manage families, track timesheets, and create invoices they can share as PDFs. Accounts use Firebase Authentication with email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. App content is stored in Cloud Firestore. Logo images you upload for Pro invoice branding are stored in Firebase Storage. Optional Sittally Pro features, including invoice branding and payment-handle display on invoice PDFs, are offered as auto-renewable subscriptions purchased through Apple In-App Purchase and verified with RevenueCat. Free accounts do not include those Pro features. The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash and diagnostic data so we can improve reliability, as described in the Privacy Policy. This website is public (no login) and provides product information, Privacy Policy, Terms, and Support. We use Google Analytics on this website only to measure traffic and usage; it is not used in the iPhone app. The app is not available on Android or iPad at this time.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. You may sign in with email and password, Google, or Sign in with Apple. Do not share your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Subscriptions and payments

Some features require a paid Sittally Pro subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account through the App Store at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current price. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Prices are shown in the app paywall and App Store product pages. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policies. We may change subscription offerings or pricing prospectively; Apple will show the price before you confirm.

License

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the iPhone app and this site for their intended purpose. We and our licensors retain all rights in Sittally, including the name, logos, and software. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or misuse the service except as allowed by law.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you submit (for example your profile, family and member names, sitting types, timesheets, invoices, optional invoice branding including logos you upload, and optional payment handles). You grant Sittally a worldwide license to host, process, display, and otherwise use that content solely to operate the service for you, including Firebase Auth, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage for uploaded logos, and backups.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for having the right to store and share it. That includes the right to use any logo you upload. Do not upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content. Family member names and contact details you enter are provided by you; Sittally does not independently verify them.

Not payroll, tax, or legal advice

Sittally is a recordkeeping and invoicing tool for sitting work. It is not a payroll processor, tax advisor, accountant, or law firm. Invoices and totals are based on information you enter. You are responsible for how you bill clients, collect payment, and handle any tax or legal obligations.

Not a payment processor

Sittally does not process payments between you and the families you sit for. Optional Pro payment handles (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, and Apple Cash) and any QR code on an invoice PDF are informational only. They show contact or handle details you entered so a family can pay you outside the app. When an HTTPS URL can be derived for the primary method, the app may generate that QR code on your device. Contact-only values, such as a typical Zelle or Apple Cash handle, are shown as text and do not get a QR code.

Any payment happens outside Sittally, directly between you and the family, through the payment service you and they choose. We do not collect card numbers for these methods. We do not use Apple Pay, Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal payment SDKs, and we do not settle funds. We do not guarantee that a payment will be made, received, or completed, and we do not mediate disputes with Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, Apple Cash, or any other payment service. The Apple Cash field is contact or handle information only. It is not Apple Pay checkout.

Termination and deletion

You may stop using the app at any time. You may delete your account in the app under Account → DELETE ACCOUNT (confirming with your password, Google, or Apple sign-in), which permanently removes the Firebase Authentication user, associated Cloud Firestore data (profile, including branding and payment handles, families, sitting types, timesheets, invoices, subscription records, and related data), and uploaded branding logos in Firebase Storage, as described in the Privacy Policy. Canceling a subscription through Apple does not by itself delete your account. If you cannot open the app, use Support. We may stop providing the service or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the product.

Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that invoices, totals, or PDFs are accurate for your situation, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SITTALLY AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF TEN U.S. DOLLARS (US $10) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some places do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and delete your account.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local law applies. If a court finds a section unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
