What’s new

Here’s what has shipped so far, starting with the newest release.

Latest1.1.1

A receipt for what they already paid

You can send a family a receipt for sessions they have already paid, including work from more than one paid invoice, without making another bill.

Send a receipt, not another invoice

Choose the paid sessions to include. A receipt for a whole invoice keeps that invoice’s fees and tax, and a partial selection keeps the same share of them. You can share it the same way you share an invoice.

Narrow the lists

Invoice and timesheet lists can be filtered by family and by a range of dates. Timesheets can also be filtered by service, so a long list is easier to scan.

Also in this update

  • Fix a timesheet before it is billed

Until a timesheet is on an invoice, you can change its family or service. After that it stays locked, so the invoice total does not drift from the session.

  • Paid invoices are simpler to handle

Share, receipt, and mark unpaid sit in one menu, and a paid invoice can no longer be edited.

  • Clearer invoice pages

The family and whether the invoice is paid show together, and the totals sit in their own card.

  • A little more polish

Paid and unpaid status icons are easier to tell apart, and the celebration when you mark an invoice paid is a bit bigger.

  • A reminder about the Pro subscription

After setup, and again at the end of onboarding, a free account can see a card about the Pro subscription. The one on the home screen can be dismissed.

  • A review, after real use

Once you have logged sits and sent invoices, Sittally may ask you to leave a review on the App Store.

Earlier

1.1.0

Invoices can look like you now

With a Pro subscription, an invoice can include a logo and the payment apps families already use, so the PDF is more than a list of hours.

  • A logo on the invoicePro

You can pick one of the illustrations included with the app, or upload your own. Crop it, swap it later if you want, and it shows up in the header of the PDF.

  • The payment apps they already usePro

Add Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, or Apple Cash, and the handle appears on the invoice next to that app’s icon.

  • A QR code when it helpsPro

If a handle can open as a link, the PDF includes a QR code for that payment app, so a family can pay from the invoice.

Sittally only shows the handle, and a QR code when one can be made. We don’t move the money. Zelle and Apple Cash stay on the invoice as contact details.

1.0.0

Sittally on the App Store

This was the first release, for babysitters, mother’s helpers, and other sitters who were tired of keeping hours in a spreadsheet.

  • Start a timer, or add the hours later

You can run a session while you are sitting, or write the hours in afterward. Flat-rate work skips the timer, and overnight sits stay on a single timesheet.

  • Families stay together

Parents, kids, and services live with the household, so the rate stays with the people it belongs to.

  • A calendar for the week ahead

One-off sits show up on a calendar, along with a list of what is coming. Recurring sits are part of the Pro subscription.

  • Send an invoice, then mark it paid

You can bundle open timesheets into a PDF and share it. When the money comes in, mark the invoice paid, and anything still open stays visible.

  • More room when the work growsPro

The Pro subscription unlocks more families and services, a company name and colors on the PDF, invoice fees and tax, and recurring sits.
