Who this covers
Sittally is an iPhone app for sitters to manage families they sit for, track timesheets, and create invoices. Optional Sittally Pro unlocks higher usage limits and Pro features, including invoice branding and payment-handle display on invoice PDFs, through an in-app subscription purchased through Apple. Free accounts do not include those Pro features. This site is a public informational site. We do not require an account to read these pages. The app does not use advertising SDKs, does not collect Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Where data is stored
App data is stored in Google Firebase for project sittr-481ab:
- Firebase Authentication: your account, email, and Google or Apple sign-in identity
- Cloud Firestore: profile, families, sitting types, timesheets, invoices, subscription status, optional invoice branding and payment handles, and related app content under your user ID
- Firebase Storage: logo images Pro users upload for invoice branding, stored under that user ID
- Cloud Functions, including deleting your Firestore data and uploaded branding logos in Firebase Storage after you delete your account, and syncing subscription status from RevenueCat webhooks
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash and stability reports so we can find and fix bugs
Information we collect
Data in the app is collected to run the product (accounts, families, timesheets, invoices, optional Pro branding and payment handles, and optional Pro entitlements). We do not use that data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not use advertising SDKs.
Account (Firebase Auth, Google, Apple)
You can create an account with:
- Email and password (Firebase Authentication)
- Google Sign-In
- Sign in with Apple
Depending on the method, that typically includes an email address, a user ID, and a display name from the sign-in provider. There is no guest or anonymous mode. Sign-in tokens are processed by Google or Apple when you choose those providers, then used to create or link your Firebase Auth user.
Profile
You may provide:
- Name
- Email address associated with the account
- Phone number
- Mailing address (street, city, state, ZIP)
Profile details you enter can appear on invoices and on PDFs you generate and share from the app.
Invoice branding (Sittally Pro)
If you have Sittally Pro, you may optionally set invoice branding on your profile in Cloud Firestore:
- Company name
- Primary and secondary brand colors
- A brand mark: a bundled preset, or a logo you upload
Logo upload uses the iOS Photos library only when you choose to pick an image. You crop it at any aspect ratio, and the app compresses it to a JPEG. We store that image in Firebase Storage under your user ID at users/{uid}/branding/. We do not browse your photo library otherwise, and this feature does not use the camera. Free accounts do not include invoice branding.
Payment handles (Sittally Pro)
If you have Sittally Pro, you may optionally store payment handles on your profile in Cloud Firestore: Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, and Apple Cash. These are contact or handle values you enter so they can be shown on invoice PDFs. Sittally does not process those payments. We do not use Apple Pay, Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal payment SDKs, and we do not collect card numbers for these methods. The Apple Cash field is contact or handle information only; it is not Apple Pay checkout. Free accounts do not include payment handles.
When an HTTPS URL can be derived for the primary payment method, the app generates a QR code on your device for the invoice PDF. Contact-only values, such as a typical Zelle or Apple Cash handle, do not get a QR code.
Families and sitting work
You may also create and store:
- Family names
- Parent and child names for each family
- Sitting types (for example babysitting or mother’s helper), including hourly rates or flat-rate settings
- Timesheets (dates, start/end times or flat fees, billable hours, earnings, invoiced status)
- Invoices (selected timesheets, totals, paid status, and related metadata)
Invoice PDFs are generated on your device so you can download or share them through the iOS share sheet. If you use Sittally Pro, a PDF may include your invoice branding and any payment handles you saved, plus a QR code when the app can derive an HTTPS URL for the primary method. Sittally does not upload those PDFs to our servers as part of the share flow.
Purchases and subscriptions (Apple + RevenueCat)
Sittally offers optional paid Pro access through Apple In-App Purchase / subscriptions. Apple processes payment. We use RevenueCat to verify entitlements and sync Pro status to your account. That can include your Firebase user ID as the app user identifier, entitlement status (for example whether Pro is active), product or offering identifiers, and purchase / renewal / cancellation events needed to unlock or remove Pro features. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
Crash and diagnostic data (Firebase Crashlytics)
The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash and stability reports when the app fails or behaves unexpectedly. That can include stack traces, device model, OS version, app version, and related diagnostic information needed to diagnose the issue. Crashlytics may also associate a report with your Firebase user ID when you are signed in so we can tell whether a crash affects a specific account. Crashlytics is used only to improve reliability; it is not an advertising or cross-app tracking tool.
What we do not collect
We access the photo library only when a Pro user chooses to upload a logo for invoice branding. We do not browse the library otherwise, and we do not use the camera for this feature. We do not collect camera photos.
- Location / GPS history
- Push notification tokens (the app does not use push messaging)
- Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA)
- Third-party advertising identifiers for tracking
- Health or Apple Health / HealthKit data
- In-app Google Analytics / Firebase Analytics usage measurement (website Analytics is separate. See below)
How we use information
- Create and secure your account
- Provide families, sitting types, timesheets, and invoices
- Generate invoice PDFs you choose to create and share
- Show optional Pro invoice branding (company name, colors, and brand mark) on those PDFs
- Show optional Pro payment handles on those PDFs, and a QR code when one can be generated on your device, as payment instructions only
- Provide optional Pro features and enforce usage limits
- Verify purchases and restore entitlements
- Diagnose crashes and improve app stability (Crashlytics)
- Respond if you email us
Processors and third parties
We use:
- Google Firebase: Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Storage, Cloud Functions, and Crashlytics to run and maintain the app
- Apple: Sign in with Apple (if you choose it) and App Store billing for Pro purchases
- Google: Sign-In if you choose it
- RevenueCat: subscription entitlement verification and purchase-status sync for Pro
- Google Analytics: traffic and usage measurement on this website only (not in the iPhone app)
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use third-party ads in the app. We do not collect IDFA, so we do not show an App Tracking Transparency prompt.
Account deletion
You can delete your account in the app: open Account and choose DELETE ACCOUNT. You will need to confirm and re-authenticate with your current sign-in method (password, Google, or Apple). That deletes your Firebase Authentication user. A Cloud Function then permanently deletes associated Cloud Firestore data and uploaded branding logos in Firebase Storage for that user ID, including:
- Profile information, including optional company name, brand colors, brand mark selection, and payment handles (Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, and Apple Cash)
- Uploaded branding logos stored in Firebase Storage
- Families, family members, and family sitting types
- Global sitting types you created
- Timesheets and invoices
- Subscription status / usage records stored under your user ID
Deletion is permanent for that account’s Firestore data and Storage branding logos. Apple may retain purchase records for billing and tax as required by Apple. PDFs or messages you already shared outside the app are not controlled by Sittally. We may retain information if required by law or to resolve a dispute.
If you cannot open the app, email support@sittally.app from the address on the account and we will help you with deletion. See also Support.
Data retention
We keep account and sitting data while your account exists so the app can function. After you delete your account, we delete that user data as described above, including branding and payment-handle fields on your profile and any logo images in Firebase Storage. Crash and diagnostic reports in Crashlytics are retained for a limited period under Google Firebase’s Crashlytics retention practices so we can investigate stability issues; they are not your families, timesheets, or invoices. Purchase history may be retained by Apple and RevenueCat under their policies. We may retain information if we are required to by law or to resolve a dispute.
Children
Sittally is not directed at children under 13 and is not in Apple’s Kids Category. The app is for sitters managing their own work; family member names you enter are provided by you as the account holder. Do not create an account if you are under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 as an account holder, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
- You can edit profile, family, timesheet, and invoice data in the app, including optional Pro branding and payment handles
- You can delete families, timesheets, and invoices you control
- You can manage or cancel Pro through Apple’s subscription settings
- You can delete your account as described above
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. Email support@sittally.app to make a request. We will need enough information to verify it is your account.
This website
This site is static informational pages (home, about, privacy, terms, and support). It does not use an account, and it does not use advertising cookies for ads. We use Google Analytics (GA4) on this website only to understand traffic and how pages are used, for example page views, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser type, and referral source. Google may set or read cookies or similar technologies as part of that measurement. Google Analytics is not used in the Sittally iPhone app. You can limit analytics cookies through your browser settings or Google’s opt-out tools where available.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be posted on this page.
